LCD Studio was founded in 2009 in Brooklyn, NY as an architectural design office and interdisciplinary research practice. The design work of LCD Studio has been published in Design Bureau and Metropolis Magazine, and exhibited at the AIA Center for Architecture in NYC.
The founders met on 9/11/2001 at the Princeton University School of Architecture where they undertook graduate studies, started a film series, and became life-long tennis partners. They bring together more than 20 years of professional experience with award-winning and internationally acclaimed offices, and have a broad range of building design and project management experience. LCD Studio offers professional design services to residential, commercial, retail, institutional, and development clients.
Through writing, teaching, and design research, LCD Studio also engages critically with contemporary issues that shape the performance and reception of architecture. The founders share common interests in landscape, urbanism, strategy, media, and technology. LCD Studio is committed to the full range of activity allowed by design thinking.
