Located within Floyd Bennett Field, Aviator Sports and Events Center is an authorized Concessionaire of the National Park Service and New York’s largest sports and events center.
The demise of Basketball City left a void when it comes to affordable indoor courts. Journey to the eastern edge of South Brooklyn to Aviator Sports and Recreation, a 170,000-square-foot athletic complex with three pro-size basketball courts, where just $10 gets you court time and includes full locker-room access. Be sure to grab a bite while you’re there: The food court specializes in Brooklyn-bred goodies.

This place has developed into a world of fun. It has everything Brooklyn wants 365 days a year. Free and plenty of parking. Location is fantastic and easy to get to by car. It still needs to work on a bus shuttle! Ice skating,Admission & Rental Fees: Adults $9 and Children $7, Skate Rentals: $5.00/pair or bring your own skates and save. They also have ice hockey and teams to join. Enjoy old fashioned arcades, rock climbing, a gym, sky jump (no I am not trying this at @12 feet high or 12 feet low) and so much fun activities. Parties for all ages and at a fair price. Great teams for the kids, companies and to meet people in basketball, hockey, volleyball. Now they are starting outdoor events like the TOMATO TOSS and the COLOR RUN.

Old airfield turned into a sports complex. I've run a couple 5ks there and the problem is that the airfield hasn't had good upkeep so there are potholes, plants growing up through the cracks, uneven ground, etc. Most recently, I did the Electric Run there and almost injured myself because I could not see the ground when I was running to see what conditions I was running on at night.

The rinks have always been nice and cold when I've been there, making the ice hard and fast. The facility is very nice, and the staff is cool. I've only used the rinks, so I can't comment on the other areas of the facility, but by appearance they look good.

Plenty of facilities here to keep you busy with a variety of sports options. A great place to hold a kids' ice skating birthday party!
